Summer Ballet Program:

Programs for ages 7-19
Dance Conservatory’s Summer Ballet Program is a comprehensive experience that is dedicated to improving the technique, artistry, and confidence of each dancer. Through classes in ballet, pointe, variations, repertory, and conditioning, dancers will refine ballet technique and gain strength and stamina. We offer various registration and program options allowing for a customized training experience that fits your summer plans.

Summer: Intermediate Level 1: Ages 7-9

This level is designed for children ages 7-9 who have previous ballet training (not including preschool classes). Our summer classes teach basic ballet positions, the progression of a standard ballet barre, and the fundamental French vocabulary that defines all steps in ballet. By laying the foundation of classical ballet training, children gain coordination, balance, and strength. Simple jumps and fun traveling steps are introduced to build muscle control and stamina, while encouraging the joy of movement and expression.

Summer: Intermediate Level 2: Ages 10-12

This level is designed to help dancers ages 10-12 who have previous ballet training to progress from basic ballet positions, vocabulary, and barre work into more advanced movements. In this level, young dancers will find themselves in an environment that fosters artistry, a joy of movement, and respect for one another, while demanding dedication, focus, and hard work. Through this dedicated training, dancers experience growth, improvement, and confidence in their dancing.

Summer: Intermediate Level 3: Ages 13-15

This level is dedicated to improving each dancer’s foundational technique. The curriculum includes conditioning classes designed to build core strength, increase flexibility, and teach the proper mechanics of preparing the body for the demands of high-level ballet training or various dance programs during the academic school year.

Summer: Advanced: Ages 16-19

This level is for dedicated students ages 16–19 who are ready to refine their artistry, technique, and professional readiness. This pre-professional level training focuses on strengthening classical foundations while advancing complex movement vocabulary, pointe work, and performance quality. The program incorporates advanced barre and center work, intricate combinations, and variations from classical repertoire.
