Perseverance, Discipline, Dedication, Resilience…

LBT IS EMPOWERING TOMORROW’S WOMEN TODAY.

Lafayette Ballet Theatre (LBT) seeks partnerships with individuals and organizations who value the importance of performing arts in Acadiana. As a nonprofit, LBT relies on the support and generosity of our community.

Lafayette Ballet Theatre…

  • Brings the timeless classic, The Nutcracker, to Acadiana;
  • Is a nonprofit, wherein gifts are tax-deductible;
  • Brings full length classical ballets to our local stage with
    world renown guest artists;
  • Is Acadiana’s only professional dance company contracting
    local artists over the age of 18; and
  • 80% of budget remains in Acadiana.

As a non-profit orgainzation, the continuation of our vital programs would not be possible without the generous support of our friends and partners. As a supporting member your tax-deductible gift enables us to:

  • Maintain our 28 week professional employment contracts offered to proficient dancers in our state; as well as providing tuition scholarship programs for pre-professional students.
  • Preserve the Continuation of our educational outreach programs offering demonstrations in local elementary through high school, free of charge.
  • Support the underserved through A Nigth at the Ballet, by providing over 250 complimentary performance tickets annually to children and their families seeking assistance in area shelters.
  • Enrich our Community by providing cultural partnerships that benefit our youth. Dance Chance provides 12 weeks of ballet classes, without charge to area Clubs. Discover Dance, a statewide educational program for Girl Scouts and Brownie Troops, provides the opportunity to young girls to spend the day with the dancers and Directors of LBT during our annual Nutcracker season.
  • Provide programs to inspire audiences of every age. LBT currently offers 50% discounted tickets to college and high school students 30 minutes prior to curtain; as well as a 50% discount to all students in balcony level seating.

All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.  Please mail membership contributions to Lafayette Ballet Theatre, 201 Petroleum Dr., Lafayette, Louisiana 70508.
