Lafayette Ballet Theatre with Principal dancers from the Pacific Northwest Ballet, and the entire dance community presents the full length Holiday classic, THE NUTCRACKER.
AUDITIONS are open to students 8 years and over, with at least one full year of ballet training and is currently studying ballet in an established dance program.
ROLES include:
Act I -Party Scene: male and female children /adults, Battle Scene: soldiers and rats.
Act II- angels, candy canes, peppermints, polichinelles, all Land of the Sweets variations.
Roles in Snow scenes and Waltz of the Flowers are open to qualified advanced level dancers - pointe shoes required.

Please arrive half hour early to register.
TIME: 1:00 - 3:00 ages 8 - 10 years. (beginner and intermediate level work)
3:00 - 5:00 ages 11 - 14 years. (advanced - intermediate level)
5:00 - 5:30 Intermediate to Advanced level Tumblers. NO audition fee required.
5:30 - 6:00 ages 15 and up auditioning for roles that do NOT include pointe work.
6:00 - 8:00 ages 15 to professional. Please arrive at least 1 hour before audition time. Dancers of this level will be expected to give themselves a complete warm up barre and be very warm when entering at 6:00 for the actual audition.
WHERE: Angelle Hall - University of Louisiana at Lafayette Campus.
COST: $25 Audition Fee is due at registration. Please make checks payable to Lafayette Ballet Theatre (LBT) or have exact change. Fee required of dancers age 8 - 18 only. No audition fee is assessed if only attending the 5:00 tumbler audition.
