Biographies
Lauren Spizale began her dance training with Moving South Dance Company, the UL Dance Guild, and L.J. Alleman Arts Academy. She was accepted to study with the Dance Conservatory in 1998 at the age of 12. In the fall of 2000, she was promoted to apprentice with Lafayette Ballet Theatre. She achieved principal status in 2004. Lauren has attended Ballet Austin’s Summer Intensive program, the Joffrey Ballet’s program in San Antonio, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and was accepted to study with The Rock School in Pennsylvania and American Ballet Theatre’s summer intensive. Her repertoire includes Spanish, Arabian, Mirliton, Waltz of the Snowflakes, Waltz of the Flowers, and Dewdrop in The Nutcracker, Hippolyta and the Butterfly in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a Villager, a Jester, Dawn, and Swanilda’s friend in Coppélia, the Autumn Fairy in Cinderella, and Bluebird and the Audacious Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty. Lauren is a contracted artist with LBT.
 
Bethany Buller began her classical ballet training with Dance Conservatory in 2002. In 2004, she was promoted to the apprentice level with Lafayette Ballet Theatre and achieved principal status in 2006. In the summer of 2004 and 2007, Bethany attended the School of American Ballet, the official school of the New York City Ballet. Bethany was accepted to study with the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida for the summer of 2005. She was invited to continue her studies at Harid for the fall of 2005-2006 on scholarship. In 2006, she attended Pacific Northwest Ballet’s summer intensive program. Bethany has been accepted to study with American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, Ballet Pacifica, Austin Ballet, Burklyn Ballet, Colorado Ballet, and Milwaukee Ballet’s summer programs. Her repertoire includes Clara, Spanish, Chinese, Arabian, Snowflake, Waltz of the Flowers, and Dewdrop in The Nutcracker, Swanilda’s friend and Prayer in Coppélia, the Carefree Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, one of the Three Graces in Nymph’s, Walts in Raymonda, and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Bethany is a contracted artist with LBT.
 
Victoria Richard began her ballet studies at an early age with the Academy of Performing Arts in Morgan City, Louisiana under the direction of the late Lourella Pitts. Victoria was accepted to study at the Dance Conservatory in 1995. In 2003, she was accepted into Lafayette Ballet Theatre’s company as an apprentice and was promoted to Principal in 2006. She has been accepted into many prestigious summer intensives. She has attended Boston Ballet’s Dance Lab in 2002 and 2003, Boston Summer Dance program in 2004 and 2005, American Ballet Theatre in Orange County, California in 2003 and 2004 (where she studied under Rebecca Wright); and this past summer she attended American Ballet Theatre’s summer program in New York City. Victory was casted in Swan Lake and Allegretto, a piece choreographed by Leslie Browne, for the ABT summer workshop. Her repertoire includes Playful Fairy and the White Cat in The Sleeping Beauty, Waltz of the Hours, Act II Pas de Trois, and one of Swanhilda’s friends in Coppélia, Clara, a Snowflake, Pas de Trois, Arabian, Waltz of the flowers, Chinese, and a doll in the Nutcrakcker, and Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She has performed various corps de ballet roles in Le Bayadere, Don Quixote, and Tarantella. Victoria is a contracted artist with LBT.
 
Megan Conner began her dance training with local schools at a young age. She was accepted to train with the Dance Conservatory, the official school of the Lafayette Ballet Theatre, in the summer of 2003. In 2004, Megan was promoted to the apprentice level, in 2005 achieved corps de ballet status, and in 2006 was promoted to the rank of soloist. She gained principal status in 2007. In the summer of 2006, Megan spent a month in Belgium and Luxembourg on scholarship from CODOFIL and the Richelieu Club. She also attended the summer program for the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Megan’s repertoire includes Snowflake, Chinese, Spanish, Pas de Trois, and Waltz of the Flowers in The Nutcracker, Lilac Fairy attendant in The Sleeping Beauty, and Swanilda’s friend in Coppélia. Megan is a contracted artist with LBT.
 
Jack Glaze began his studies in 2000 with Dance Conservatory, the official school of Lafayette Ballet Theatre. In 2007, he was promoted to principal with LBT. Jackson’s repertoire includes Pas de Trois, Rat King, Party Scene Parent, and Dr. Stahlbaum in The Nutcracker, Act II Pas de Trois in Cinderella, Princess Aurora’s Suitor and the Wolf in The Sleeping Beauty, and a villager and Harlequin doll in Coppélia. He has participated in numerous outreach projects including lecture demonstrations and the 2004 Prelude to the Arts. In 2006, Jackson traveled to Colombia, South America where he lived for six months and attended performances of the Bogota Ballet Company (Compañia de Ballet de Anna Pavlova). In 2008, he was accepted to study on full scholarship with the Cincinnati Ballet. Jack is currently a contracted artist with LBT.
 
Adrienne Boudreaux began her ballet training with Dance Conservatory at a young age. She was promoted to apprentice level with Lafayette Ballet Theatre in 2006 and achieved soloist status in 2007. Adrienne’s repertoire includes Clara, Pas de Trois, Snowflakes, and Waltz of the Flowers in The Nutcracker, a Jester in Coppélia, and various corps de ballet roles in The Sleeping Beauty, and the Winter Fairy in Cinderella. Adrienne was accepted and participated in Pacific Northwest Ballet’s summer intensive programs in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
 
Alyssa Leger began her ballet training at the Dance Conservatory, the official school of the Lafayette Ballet Theatre, in 2003. In 2006, Alyssa was promoted to apprentice level with LBT. She has been a member of the corps de ballet since 2007. Alyssa’s repertoire includes Clara, Chinese variation, and Waltz of the Flowers in The Nutcracker, along with various corps de ballet roles in The Sleeping Beauty and Coppélia. Alyssa was accepted and participated in Pacific Northwest Ballet's 2007 summer course and will be attending School of American Ballet's 2008 summer intensive.
 
Elizabeth Vied began her classical ballet training with the Dance Conservatory, the official school of Lafayette Ballet Theatre, in 2005. In 2006, she was promoted to the apprentice level, and one year later was promoted to the corps de ballet. In the summer of 2007, Elizabeth was accepted to study with the Ballet Austin Summer Intensive. In the summer of 2008, she plans to attend American Ballet Theatre in Alabama. Her repertoire includes various corps de ballet roles in The Sleeping Beauty, Clara, Spanish variatin, and Waltz of the Flowers in The Nutcracker, Butterfly Fairy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and a fairy in Cinderella.
 
AERIN HIGGINBOTHAM began her dance training at a young age with local dance schools, including Elite School of Performing Arts. She was accepted to study with Dance Conservatory in the fall of 2007 and was offered an apprenticeship position with Lafayette Ballet Theatre. In the fall of 2008, Aerin was promoted to LBT's corps de ballet level.  Aerin has attended American Ballet Theatre's 2007 and 2008 summer intensive programs in Alabama and Austin, Tx.  Her repertoire includes soloist varitations in The Nutcracker Ballet and many original works of choreography.
